We had Molly’s end of year school conference last week. Instead of going in and talking to her teacher, Molly hosted the event; taking us around her classroom and performing different activities to show off her growing abilities. There was a math table, an art table, a shapes and colors exercise, counting and alphabet tests. She did wonderfully! Her teacher reported that she is reading at a 1st grade level and has made excellent progress throughout the year. She has met all her goals for the year and even exceeded a few. We are very proud!
This is one of the pictures displayed outside of Molly’s classroom with her subtraction:
Here is a sketch of all of Molly’s favorite animals, displayed inside her classroom. (I especially enjoy the turtle)
Here is our girl leading us in her school conference. She is counting the numbers outside of her classroom. On the other side of the door, the numbers were placed randomly and she identified those too!
A year has passed so quickly! Bye bye Kindergarten, Hello First Grade! Yay Molly!

Some of the best moments we get to witness, is when Molly and Kaleb play together. Molly is the protective older sister, who shows her brother new things and helps him to be more understanding when it comes to sharing and being fair. She often will share her things with him and teach him what is okay and what is not. They don’t always play perfectly nice, but when they do, it’s yet another proud moment for us. :)
